The Poppie Cotton Happy Scallops quilt
Today I’m sharing a Poppie Cotton Happy Scallops quilt. This fabric line by Poppie Cotton is called Wildwood Dwellings and should be in shops right about now.
I had a fat quarter bundle to work with so I decided to sew up a Happy Scallops quilt. I switched it up a little bit though! When I was writing this pattern last year I debated about keeping all of the blocks vertical so I decided to try it out on this quilt.

I kind of like it! This changes the number of snowballed edge blocks slightly so I would recommend laying out the blocks first and then snowball the correct corners.
Happy Scallops quilt pattern
Happy Scallops came out last year and is one of the Quilty Love Stash Busters. You can sew one up using any of the following fabric cuts:
- Jelly roll strips (2.5 inch x width of fabric strips)
- Layer cake squares (10 inch squares)
- fat quarters
It’s a fast and easy strip piecing quilt.

Wavy Stitch quilting
I quilted up this Poppie Cotton Happy Scallops quilt with my favorite wavy stitch. This was a smaller quilt so I quilted it up in my sewing room. I usually like to use the dining room table since it’s a bigger space.
