Plus and Minus Quilt Pattern
I’m excited to share the Plus and Minus quilt with you all today! Plus and Minus is one of those ideas that popped into my head and I had to drop everything and instantly sew it up. I love when that happens!
Pick up your copy of Plus and Minus in the Quilty Love Pattern shop.
Plus quilts are still my favorite so it’s fun to put a new spin on this trendy quilt design. Quite a few Quilty Love patterns have plus designs throughout them. The plus shape stands out nicely on the Plus and Minus quilt especially when using a white background color.
Pre-cut friendly
Plus and minus goes together fairly quickly and is pre-cut friendly. I think this is one of my first layer cake quilts! Definitely won’t be the last though because I love layer cakes.
The Plus and Minus quilt pattern includes instructions for using both fat quarters or a layer cake.
Includes baby, throw and queen sizing
I used solid Kona fat quarters for this baby size version of the Plus and Minus quilt. Plus and Minus includes instructions for a baby size, throw size and queen size quilt. The throw size is the perfect way to use up a layer cake and since I’ve got quite a few of them right now and I’m anxious to make one up.
Beginner friendly
I love how these Robert Kaufman kona fabrics create this bright and happy modern quilt. This baby size is fast and easy making this quilt pattern beginner friendly.
This baby size Plus and Minus quilt is quilted with diagonal straight lines using my walking foot. The lines are spaced one inch apart. Use the guide on your walking foot or a Hera marker if you don’t have a guide to get nice straight lines.
This Plus and Minus quilt is bound with my favorite grey fabric. Since it’s my favorite, I usually have plenty of Robert Kaufman Silver on hand. I like bindings that don’t distract from the quilt itself. I thought the light grey kept this quilt nice and modern.
Plus and Minus is available in the Quilty Love shop. I can’t wait to see your version of it!
