New Ruby Star Society Starry Happy Stripes quilt
Today I’m sharing this new Ruby Star Society Starry Happy Stripes quilt! Happy Stripes is one of the Quilty Love stash busters and great for fat quarters, layer cake squares or jelly roll strips. It’s one of the most popular Quilty Love patterns and I’m not surprised because it is fun and fast to sew up. Plus it looks great in so many different fabrics.
The Happy Stripes quilt pattern is available in the Quilty Love pattern shop.

Happy Stripes is a fast and fun quilt pattern! It can go together really quickly with strip piecing when using certain fabrics like fat quarters or jelly roll strips. Plus it looks great in an assortment of fabrics. I’ve made quite a few of them now and you can view them all here.
Happy Stripes is a fairly beginner friendly quilt pattern.

New Ruby Star Society Starry Fabric
I was excited to sew one of these Happy Stripes quilts up in the new Ruby Star Society Starry line. I made one using the original colors and wanted to show a sample with the new bundle. It’s a vibrant and fun quilt that the 5 year old immediately wanted for herself.
Wavy stitch quilting + minky backing
I quilted this one up using my favorite wavy stitch quilting. I used a minky backing to keep it nice and soft. I’m fairly new to pin basting and this was the first time pin basting a minky backing. I was a little nervous about the layers shifting and slipping but I’m happy to report that it turned out just fine!
This minky is Shannon Cuddle wide in the color Saltwater.
The youtube tutorial for the wavy stitch quilting can be found here.
Don’t forget to finish those quilts off with cute quilt labels! The custom tags are Dutch Labels and the other two are Sarah Hearts labels.
