Geo Gems Quilt Pattern _ The Rifle paper company one
Geo Gems quilt pattern is one of the two new Quilty Love patterns available today! Geo Gems quilt is a fat quarter friendly quilt pattern. This quilt features modern solid fabrics also.
Geo Gems quilt was first featured in a special insert of Love Patchwork and Quilting Magazine. The original pattern in the magazine has smaller sized blocks. I’ve updated the pattern with larger blocks to help it go together a bit faster. The new pattern also includes multiple sizes.

Geo Gems quilt pattern is fat quarter friendly. The “gems” are pieced together with fat quarters and set against various solids.
This is a mix and match fat quarter quilt. Mix and match quilts are my favorite kind to design since they give you a lot of design freedom. Basically mix and match your cut pieces to make each quilt block.
Geo Gems includes instructions for a crib size, throw size and queen size quilt.
This is a rare quilt that has no white background 😉 That doesn’t happen very often for me.
I used Rifle Paper Co’s Les Fleurs line for Cotton and Steel for the prints.
The solids are a custom bundle that coordinates with this line from fabricbubb. Geo Gems quilt is quilted with the zig zag stitch using my walking foot. I use this walking foot for my Janome machine. Find the zig zag walking foot quilting tutorial here.
This version of Geo Gems is backed with this gorgeous navy rose fabric by Cotton + Steel Rifle Paper Co. This colorful pastel quilt is finished off with a scrappy solid binding. It was the perfect way to use up some of the leftover solid fabrics.
Geo Gems is available in the Quilty Love Pattern shop.
