Fat Quarter friendly Southwest Sunshine Quilt

Today I’m sharing this fat quarter friendly Southwest Sunshine quilt. The Southwest Sunshine quilt came out several years ago and I revisited it recently with this Marigold version.

Southwest Sunshine is a fun and modern fat quarter friendly quilt pattern. Use your favorite fat quarter bundle and add an accent and background.

Southwest Sunshine quilt pattern

The Southwest Sunshine quilt pattern came out a few years back. I haven’t sewn up many of them. So I recently revisited it using this Marigold fabric line by Aneela Hoey for Moda Fabrics. Southwest Sunshine is a block based fat quarter friendly quilt. I chose a dark navy background so that the prints in this line would really pop.

Multi Zig Zag Stitch quilting

I quilted this one up myself using the muti zig zag stitch and a walking foot. I have a tutorial here. The backing is a Kona Cotton solid I had on hand.
