Today I’m sharing something other than a quilt! It’s my turn on the Stitched Sewing Organizers book sew along. Stitched Sewing Organizers is Aneela Hoey’s latest sewing book.
I chose the Boxy Pocket Pouch from the book.
Boxy Pocket Pouch
You can pick up a copy of Stitched Sewing Organizers from Amazon.
The boxy pocket pouch was one of my favorite projects from the book. There are plenty of pouches, folios and cases to choose from. This book is full of small sewing project perfect for organizing your own sewing area. Or make something cute and practical as a gift.
I didn’t stray too far from the original boxy pocket pouch in the book. The original pouch also uses Essex linen as the main fabric. This is Essex Linen in Black.
For the pocket fabric and the lining, I used When Skies are Grey by Simple Simon and Co for Riley Blake. I don’t have a lot of bag or pouch making experience so I was a little nervous to tackle this pouch. Aneela’s instructions are easy to follow and I was thrilled with how this turned out.
