Poppie Cotton Home Sweet Home Cake Dash Quilt

Today I’m sharing this cute Cake Dash quilt sewn up in Home Sweet Home fabric by Poppie Cotton. Cake Dash is a quick and easy layer cake or fat quarter friendly quilt pattern. This one went together in no time using this upcoming Home Sweet Home fabric line by Poppie Cotton.

Cake Dash quilt pattern

Cake Dash is one of the Quilty Love stash buster quilt patterns that came out a few years back. I always love sewing this one up because it really is a quick one. Especially this small throw size shown here. You can make this size using just one layer cake or an assortment of fat quarters.

I had a fat quarter bundle so that is what I used.

Cake Dash comes in tons of sizes from baby size all the way up to king bed size.

Home Sweet Home should be showing up in quilt shops any day now! This cute and whimsical fabric line is designed by Elea Lutz for Poppie Cotton.

I used all 21 prints from the line to make this quilt.

Multi Stitch zig zag quilting

I went ahead and quilted this one myself using my Janome MC6700p. I used my old favorite, the multi stitch zig zag. I really love the texture it provides. These lines are spaced 3/4 inch apart. You just quilt straight lines for this and the machine makes the little zig zags. I have a tutorial for it here.
